Some links on this site may be affiliate links: if you buy through one, the company pays us a commission, at no extra cost to you. We say so at the top of every page that has such links and next to each one.

What commissions never change

Rankings come from our blind tests only. A tool that pays us is ranked by exactly the same rules as one that doesn't, and a tool without any affiliate program can win. Vendors don't pay for placement, don't see results before we publish and can't ask us to change them.

Who pays for the tests

We pay for every tool we test from our own accounts. If a vendor ever gives us free credits for a test, the page will say so.
